It is difficult to imagine a more beautiful location than the beach. The waves lapping the shore, the luscious sand between your toes, the sun's rays caressing your skin, and observing the unique nature and wildlife that inhabit the area combine to create a place straight out of a fantasy. Even though we would be fine with it being celebrated on multiple days throughout the year, we are pleased that it is celebrated at least once annually. National Beach Day should not only highlight the beauty of the nation's beaches, but also the importance of keeping them clean and safe for humans and animals to enjoy for generations to come.
National Beach Day is observed annually on August 30. This is the ideal time for celebration for numerous reasons. Obviously, it is still the height of summer, so the weather will be pleasant and warm. Since the weather is hot, you'll want to be close to the beach to stay cool! You will be able to observe National Beach Day as intended if you simply pack your bathing suit and hit the sand.
The simplest way to preserve our beaches is to ensure that all items are removed at the conclusion of each day. It is crucial to keep the beaches clean and safe for all visitors and residents that you pick up your trash and personal belongings. Take all trash with you when you leave, or dispose of it in the appropriate containers. If you do not take your trash with you, it can easily end up in the water or in the homes of beach-dwelling animals if there is even a slight breeze. In this case, you would not only be littering, but you could also be killing wildlife. Using "reef-safe" sunscreen is an additional excellent way to preserve beaches. Most sunscreens contain harsh chemicals and additives that can kill aquatic plants and animals. By purchasing the appropriate sunscreen, you protect your skin and the beach. Sounds like a win-win situation to us.
Obviously, the two most important ways to observe National Beach Day are to visit the beach to witness its splendor and to raise awareness about the importance of keeping it as clean and safe as possible. You can spread the word about the big day and directly influence your friends to be their best beach selves by posting pictures of your picnic or beach towels on your social media accounts while you are there celebrating. By posting content with hashtags, you are educating others on what it means to be a responsible beachgoer. You might even want to decorate the beach with filler flowers, daisies, birds of paradise, and your other favorite florals. Though we know you don't want to leave your flowers, food, and other goodies behind, remember the number one rule of National Beach Day: clean up and pack out everything you bring!
We wish you a National Beach Day filled with good times, wonderful memories, and wonderful people. Enjoy.
